In 2020, when the world shut down, I found myself at a turning point. I had spent seven years teaching art classes while raising my kids and completing my bachelor’s degree in December 2019. When everything closed, I took matters into my own hands, creating DIY paint kits, custom artwork, and sketching houses for realtors. What started as a small creative outlet quickly grew, and I made the leap to pursue art full-time. That’s when Solid Rock Design Co was born.
In the beginning, I dedicated every free moment—late nights, nap times, and early mornings—to learning and growing this business. It wasn’t easy, but I knew this was the path I was meant to take. My husband, Gabe, and I began to dream about what it would look like to build this business together and create a life filled with freedom, creativity, and purpose.
By 2023, that dream started becoming reality. Gabe joined the business full-time, and we expanded with a Glowforge and later an industrial laser. As orders increased, so did our vision, and in 2024, we moved out of our home and into a 1,500 sq. ft. warehouse, allowing us to serve even more people with our handcrafted designs.
